Art Attack Tuesday – Tiny Tigs Craft Kit Review

This week is a special #ArtAttackTuesday as this week we are featuring  a series of crafts that we have done after we were very kindly sent a fab kiddy craft pack to try from the lovely Catherine at Tiny Tigs

Tiny Tigs come up with 3 imaginative craft ideas, gather everything you will need to do them and send them to your door! Fabulous, what more could you ask for, if like me, you need a little creative push!

This week we received a pack that included:

  • Royal Crowns
  • Union Jack Bunting
  • Decorative Wall Vase with Flowers

My little girl is still quite young and the kits are designed to be used by children aged 3+ so we enlisted the help of my good friend and neighbour’s children, who were only too happy to oblige!

First up they dived into the Union Jack Bunting! They were able to follow the directions easily (with a little guidance when it came to measuring lengths of the straws) and had the task competed in no time! Below are some pics I took along the way. I think the bunting will look great for our Royal Jubilee party!

Next up came the Royal Crowns, this pack had loads of fab glitter, jewels and stars to stick onto pre-cut crowns. They loved doing this, the only problem we had was that we could have done with some pva glue, which we didn’t have so we had to make do with prit-stick and the jewels didn’t stick great with this (but this was something we should have thought of and realised we needed in advance).

My daughter especially liked the crowns and was keen to try them out and give them her royal approval once the others had finished (well almost once they had finished!)

Admittedly my friend’s little boy didn’t want to make flowers and their tea was calling so my daughter and I (well ok I, mostly) had a go. It was really really simple to do and looked very effective when complete! The only thing I didn’t get time for her to do before bed was to colour the vase. But what do you think?

We had great fun making the items we had been sent and the themes tie in perfectly with the up-coming Jubilee celebrations so we will be able to get lots of use out of them too.

The monthly fee for Tiny Tigs to deliver exciting crafts to your door is £11, not too bad for three different activities and all the instructions and items you will need! Not to mention the hours of entertainment! Art Attack Tuesday – Easter Egg Animals – #ArtAttackTuesday

It’s that time of the week again for our #ArtAttackTuesday

This week as it’s easter we have made some easter egg animal critters.

With my daughter being very young still I decided against using an actual egg!!! I had nightmare visions pass before my eyes, so instead opted for polystyrene ones! Much safer!

Using pipe cleaners, coloured fluffy balls, fuzzy eyes, foam shapes, glue and paint we created a little animal family.

Our family consisted of:

A Bunny Rabbit

A Bee

A Spider

A Mouse

A Chick (with a hat – my daughter wanted it to have a hat!)

A Cat (resembling our little cat that joined in! Well kind of!!!)

I must admit it was slightly advanced and wishful thinking that my daughter would be able to actually make the animals herself so admittedly mummy did do much of the work but my little one did attempt to help by passing (ahem.. throwing) the craft pieces everywhere whilst screaming with delight. This in turn meant lots of small objects on the floor which my cat then had a field day with! I kind of ended up doing this on my own whilst my daughter and cat caused chaos around me but the main point is that we all had fun!!! 😉 Oh and I had more to clean up after too, but hey, so what!

I’d love to see what your little ones have been up to this week.

Art Attack Tuesday – Potted Plant #ArtAttackTuesday

Welcome everyone, it’s that time of the week again where me and my little girl share what wonderous creations we have made this week in our #ArtAttackTuesday feature.

Today I want to share with you the adorable gift I came home from nursery with for Mother’s Day

She apparently helped plant it all by herself and then decorated the outside (I am fairly sure there is a slight indent of another finger there and it’s not just two!!!).

What a clever girl and what a lovely gift (just need to keep it alive now!) I am not the best with plants admittedly but I will do my best with this one!.

What delights have your little ones made this week?

As always why not post your little ones creations on your blog then comment below and share a link to your page as well as tweeting me with the link and #ArtAttackTuesdays.

Look forward to seeing some budding Monet’s!
