Happy Friday one and all it’s that time of the week again where we share one of our favourite books with you!
This week we are looking at Sharing a Shell (Author, Julia Donaldson and Illustrator, Lydia Monks)
“Look a crab, a crab with no shell, running along by the sea.” Tap Tap Tap! “You can’t come in you can’t share a shell with me”
This is a tale of a hermit crab’s search for a shell and the friends he meets along the way (‘Brush’ otherwise known as a bristleworm and ‘blob’ otherwise known as an Anemone). Their friendship is tested when the shell they share becomes too small for the trio but following a terrible storm one night a shiny new shell is washed up for the friends to call home.
The story has a lovely flow to it and the illustration is fantastic with glitter on every page, my daughter loves it and is mesmerised, touching and feeling the pages over and over again.
We LOVE this book and would highly recommend it!
